Day 1: Rock Climbing
Come to Crazy horse buttress just outside of Chiang Mai for our introduction to Top Rope Climbing and Rappelling course. This course is meant to give you a fun day out on the rock where you will be introduced to the basics of rock climbing and rappelling.
The morning portion of the course will be spent climbing and learning techniques that parallel the Introduction to Top Rope Climbing course. After a break for lunch, you will take a long hike up to the top of the climbing area and learn the basics of setting up a rappel system. The skills you learn in the morning climbing session will allow you to experience the rappelling activity safely. You will finish the day with an exhilarating 50 meter rappel into the mouth of a monstrous cave.
This is an ideal course for 1st timers who just want a taste of some of the fun rock climbing has to offer…
You will be taken the short distance from Crazy Horse rock to your accommodation in Mae Gompong, the home of The Flight of the Gibbon, in the late afternoon. Friendly villagers will greet you and show you to the homestay where you will enjoy a delicious evening meal. The evening is yours to either explore the village that time has stood still in or perhaps have your hosts organise a cultural show of music and dance for a small extra cost.

Included in Day 1:
Transportation from your hotel and to the next stage of your trip – The village of Mae Gompong, qualified instructors*, equipment, lunch, dinner in the homestay, snacks, fruit, water, and insurance.

*Our climbing instructors have been certified by North America's most credible institutions in first aid and rescue techniques.

Day 2: Flight of the Gibbon
Start the day with a hearty breakfast and followed by short jungle trek by experienced guide.

The highlight of the package is The Flight of the Gibbon – a 3 hour, 2km air trek high up in the rainforest canopy using zip lines and skybridges taking in the glory and majesty of old growth, high altitude pristine rainforest.
Lunch is served on your return, lastly there is a spectacular trek up beside the impressively beautiful Mae Gompong Falls.
Before you return to the city of Chiang Mai there is an afternoon snack with locally grown organic Arabica coffee. Then it is into the VIP minibus and back to civilisation.
